This is "A Bob Haring Arrangement" from 1927. Included here is a full score created from the original parts, plus some RealAudio files of what the arrangement sounds like. It would appear that the original copyright was not renewed under the old law (it would have been up in 1955), so this material is most likely PD.
The original parts are inconsistent as to phrasing and articulation from part to part. This is possibly because Mr. Haring did the arrangement "in the parts" (i.e. no intermediate score was created from which parts were extracted, just a piano sketch). This was and is still the way many commercial arrangements are created. Doug Rhodes indicates that inconsistency is typical in stock arrangements.
There are two RealAudio files included. The first is made from the included MIDI realization of the score, and the second is a recording from the period. The recording is of a rendition by "The Goofus Five. While the performance does not follow the score religiously, it is obvious that the recording is very influenced by the stock. Listen especially to the beginning, ending, transitions from section to section, and the saxophone background licks while the Bass Saxophone (by Adrienne Rollini) takes a solo.
I will add more original performances of the arrangement as I find them.
